Film Description

Aka Fire Birds. A suspense-filled aerial action movie about the war on drugs. Selected for their courage, skill and sheer nerve, daring pilots Jake Preston (Nicolas Cage) and Billie Lee Guthrie (Sean Young) police the sky as part of an elite army helicopter task force specially trained for aerial assault. Hovering near the brink of death everyday, they fight their air battles with a unique weapon: the Apache helicopter, the Army’s most advanced flying fighting machine.

When a drug cartel turns to high-tech weaponry to protect their operation, the US drug enforcement agency teams up with the army to break up the cartel. Sent on a mission to Latin America, the Apache task force is drawn into dangerous terrain as the pilots infiltrate hostile territory to do combat. With millions at stake, the pilots discover they are fighting a desperate war both on the ground and in the sky.
