The Night Listener

Film Description

Based on Armistead Maupin’s best selling novel, The Night Listener tells the tale of Gabriel Noone (Robin Williams), a lonely radio host who is contacted by a severely ill 14-year old fan, Pete (Rory Culkin). After many long distance phone calls with the boy and his dowdy blind foster-mother Donna (Toni Collette), Noone comes to suspect that mother and son could be one and the same person. Is Donna overprotective, an unhinged psycho, or both? Thrilling Hitchcockian fare, with strong performances all round. Collette is absolutely terrifying.
