Film Description

A microcosm of the world is revealed in this intricately-woven tale set aboard a German ocean liner in the 1930s as Nazism is on the rise. In the luxury section are the well-to-dos, while below deck are the sugar cane workers returning to Spain after a season of work in Cuba. The ship is a hotbed of disillusionment, prejudice and delusions of grandeur.
