Film Description

An excellent television adaptation of Thomas Hardy's classic novel which tells the tragic tale of Tess Durbeyfield, a peasant girl torn between two men, Alec D'Urberville and Angel Clare. Set in the Victorian era, Tess's predicament and the hypocrisy of the era leads only towards tragedy.
