Film Description

A blistering modern film noir, with Angelica Huston on powerhouse form as Lilly, the corrupt mother of a small-time conman (Cusack). Matters are complicated by the arrival of his lover (Bening) who knows a few tricks about con artistry herself, leading to a violent tug-of-love with Lilly. Great music, slick direction and a real grasp of the noir ambience make this a thoroughly gripping film.
