Film Description

A drama based on a vast series of detailed interviews with London street traders, beggars and thieves collected and classified by Henry Mayhew, a contemporary of Charles Dickens. Combining Mayhew's interviews with the letters and diaries of the upper classes, The Fool is the story of a clerk who leads a double life, travelling between the world of the very poor and the world of the very rich.
