A scientist constructs an an incredible computer to alien specifications received from Andromeda. Is it a force for mankind's advancement or something more sinister? Contains all the surviving footage of A for Andromeda, with missing episodes reconstructed from telesnaps, and all 6 episodes of its sequel, The Andromeda Breakthrough. A For Andromeda was of course the programme that introduced the world to Julie Christie, who plays Christine/Andromeda.
