Film Description

An impressionist rendering of a lazy afternoon in the forest and beside a tropical river in the border region between Thailand and Burma. He is an illegal Burmese immigrant, she works in a factory painting figurines. They drive off for the afternoon and spend the time in the forest, walking, eating, making love. Sensitive, innovative and patient, the film confirms Weerasethakul as one of the best Asian directors working today.
