Film Description

The ever-manic Rik Mayall stars as Marty Starr, the unscrupulous manager of fading pop legend Marla Dorland, nee Mavis Davis (Jane Horrocks). Heavily in debt to local mobster Mr. Rathbone (Danny Aiello), Marty hatches a scheme to make a killing off his protegee--quite literally. Knowing that a pop star's marketability increases after death, Marty arranges for a hit on Marla, only to be foiled by a rather inept hit man and other comedic hijinx.
