Film Description

Tim Robbins wrote, directed and starred in this satirical, documentary-style portrait of the fictional folk-singing millionaire Bob Roberts, a right-winger who is running for the U.S. Senate on a back-to-basics platform. Features Gore Vidal as Robert's opponent Senator Brickley Paiste, and a series of cameos from James Spader, Peter Gallagher, Susan Sarandon, and Fred Ward as TV news presenters.
