Charles Dickens's The Old Curiosity Shop leaps to life in this splendid 1995 adaptation. Little Nell and her shopkeeper grandfather (played by Sir Peter Ustinov) enlist the financial help of Quilp (Tom Courtenay), an evil businessman whose mean streak eventually forces the two to flee. And so begins their epic journey through the countryside.
