Film Description Themes of ambition, power, love, deception and self-destructive passion fuel Shakespeare's romantic tragedy in which Jane Lapotaire takes the role of the Queen of Egypt, to whom Anthony, one of the three rulers of the Roman Empire, is in thrall. As his fellow ruler Octavius schemes, Anthony and Cleopatra confront the mighty empire.
