Film Description

Two great friends leave Verona for Milan. Valentine is willing, Proteus not as it means leaving his recently betrothed Julia. Valentine then meets and falls in love with Silvia, and so does Proteus. One of Shakespeare's earliest plays, it examines the conflict between friendship and love. The production revels in the moral twists, the contests of wit, disguises of love, tragic betrayals and the comic interludes.
