Film Description

Feeling a failure after being discharged from the marines before seeing action due to a hayfever condition, Woodrow Lafayette Pershing Truesmith delays a return to his hometown. Meeting a group of Marines, they fabricate a story for him saying he was wounded in battle. Before he knows it, he is returning to a hero's welcome. Although he tries to tell the truth, no-one will listen.
