Film Description

When a young mother (Emily Mortimer) discovers the HMS Accra is due to arrive at her town she panics – for years she has pretended to her deaf son that her father (in reality an abusive bully) has been at sea on the ship. Now she must decide between coming clean to her son or getting another man to impersonate the father. Sentimental drama that was a surprise hit at Cannes.
