The sterling work that DD video has been doing in unearthing some neglected films from the great days of British horror and SF cinema continues apace with these two spruced-up transfers of films that (between them) star four giants of the genre: Christopher Lee, Boris Karloff, Peter Cushing and Donald Pleasence (with the added attraction of the British Queen of Italian horror, Barbara Steele, in Curse). Neither film is a masterpiece, but the acting talent on display is copper-bottomed, and extras (as ever with this series) are impressive. < less
