Film Description

A likeable, gentle comedy with charming performances in which Arthur (Dudley Moore) is the heir to a massive family fortune and who is engaged to a young lady of whom his family approves. Arthur however, is a shameless drunk, and his inebriated behaviour often shocks those around him (save his ever unflappable butler, played by John Gielgud in an Oscar-winning role). When out shopping, he sees Linda (Liza Minnelli) shoplifting and falls in love. But how will his family (and fiancée) react when they find out he has fallen for a commoner?
