The Trip to Bountiful
Film Description Adaptation of Horton Foote's play about the monthly escape attempts of a widow who wants to revisit her childhood town of Bountiful in Texas once more before she dies. She's thwarted by a son who won't let her travel for her health and a daughter-in-law who doesn't want to waste the money. Eventually she gets her chance. An effortlessly charming film. Page won an Oscar for her role of the widow.
