Film Description

Relocating the classic Ealing story to the Deep South gives the Coen Brothers an opportunity to bring a new angle to this dark comedy of manners. Tom Hanks stars as Goldthwait Higginson Dorr, Ph.D, a would-be professor who talks his way into the cellar of Mrs. Munson, to carry out a plot to tunnel through and steal a mint from a riverboat casino.
