Film Description

When Chuck Glover comes to Alabama to oversee the building of a dam on the Tennessee River, he is not surprised to encounter opposition from the local people, who object to him employing black labourers. What he didn't count on was a stubborn old lday who refuses to leave her home. Solidly liberal melodrama from the always-interesting Kazan.
