Another welcome issue in the variable but mostly highly impressive American Film Theatre series; here Eugene O'Neill's caustic masterpiece (directed by the great John Frankenheimer) is enacted by a truly stellar cast, toplined by Lee Marvin, with Robert Ryan as impeccable as ever.
