Film Description Set in a futuristic Old Detroit, officer Murphy is used as target practice by a gang of lunatics. The police force's controlling body decide to rebuild Murphy into a Cyborg, part man, part machine, and absolutely dedicated to law enforcement. Robocop is a brilliant social satire filled with black humour and stomach churning violence. Director Paul Verhoeven gives us a dark but highly credible vision of a near future run by sadistic criminals and treacherous corporations.
