Film Description

A fine example of producer-director Stanley Kramer's earnestly liberal brand of film-making, Inherit the Wind dramatises the infamous 1925 'Monkey Trial', which saw a Tennessee teacher persecuted for introducing Darwinian theory to his pupils. With solid performances from Tracy and March, Kramer co-ordinates the proceedings with the expected proficiency.
