Film Description

House is a multilayered gem, sparkling in all directions. Despite being a Venice Film Festival prize winner and Academy Award nominee for best foreign film, you still feel that you have discovered something intimate and private that involves only you and the film. Set in a small psychiatric hospital near the Chechen border as the Russians invade and the staff leave to find safety; the inmates look after each other and negotiate with the ebb and flow of invaders and defenders. Our heroine, with a Christ's Bride syndrome directed at Bryan Adams, is utterly absorbing. A must see.
