The Sky Is Falling (Il Cielo Cade)
Film Description Set in an elegant Tuscan villa in the summer of 1944, this is the story of Penny and her younger sister Baby, who have been orphaned in a car accident, and who go to live with their aunt and her German-Jewish husband. Told through Penny's eyes, the film portrays the simple events that take place from that summer to the end of the war and the encroachment of an inescapable and cruel reality. Adapted from the novel by Lorenzo Mazzetti.
