Disc 1 features 'Uncovering the Real Dickens' presented by Peter Ackroyd - an innovative mix of documentary and dramatic reconstruction that vividly portrays Dickens' life. Disc 2 has the classic 1999 BBC version of David Copperfield. Disc 3 has Anton Lesser as Dickens reading A Christmas Carol as well as 'Songs From Grope Lane' in which Lucy Skeeping's ensemble performs deliciously seedy pub songs from Dickensian London.
