The Box of Delights

The Box of Delights - This adaptation has become as much part of a Christmas tradition as mince pies. Look past the BBC

This film is not currently available on DVD.

Film Description

This adaptation has become as much part of a Christmas tradition as mince pies. Look past the BBC's less than stellar production values, and you'll find a yule-tide gem to awaken nostalgia and affection in any who remember it. A young boy takes his pre-war Christmas Hols at Seekers, the family home, where he quickly becomes embroiled in a mysterious plot which sees pagan gods at war with sinister individuals. At the heart of the story is the eponymous Box of Delights which takes Kay on his adventures, accompanied by effective, if now dated, special effects.
