A View of East Lothian
Film Description Three films about the historic county of East Lothian - once the domain of King Loth and smugglers. Features: 'A View From The Bass' (1963), which features the sunny seaside resort of North Berwick in the 1960s, and shows the open air swimming pool, the Pavillion Theatre and a boat trip to the Bass Rock with its sinister prison; 'Lothian Landscape' (1974), which takes a journey back through East Lothian's often troubled past to the days of Agricola the Roman, King Loth, and Mary Queen of Scots, and visits its towns, magnificent castles, and beautiful town architecture. Finally, 'Dunbar - The A1 Resort' is a promotional film for the popular holiday resort, highlighting the harbour and castle.
