Film Description Includes: 'Birth Of A Nation'(1915), the controversial epic portraying the fortunes of a family during and after the Civil War; 'Intolerance'(1916), 4 interwoven stories of intolerance and inhumanity from the Babylonian era to the present day; 'Broken Blossoms' (1919) in which a girl is torn between an abusive father and a caring oriental shop keeper, 'Way Down East' in which Gish shines as the seduced and then abandoned waif and 'Abraham Lincoln' (1930), an episodic biopic of the US President and Griffith's first talkie.
