Brothers In Law
Film Description Newly qualified barrister Roger Thurnsby finds his first few appearances in court land him in all kinds of trouble. Thrown in at the deep end by his absent-minded senior partner, he comes up against a succession of cantankerous judges. A satirical and funny jibe at the British legal system.

Review by Barry Forshaw on 17th July 2007 This is a welcome collection indeed, showcasing the work of two under-regarded treasures of the British film industry, the brothers of Roy and John Boulting. They are, of course, best known for their sardonic social comedies such as I'm All Right Jack, but this collection focuses on some of their other work: the enchanting The Magic Box (with a cast of British acting talent that it would be impossible to put together the equivalent of today) and their two films with Hywel Bennett and Hayley Mills, bittersweet comedy drama The Family Way and the controversial Psycho-inspired Twisted Nerve (the latter complete with its own Bernard Herrmann score) View more reviews by Barry Forshaw
