Review by Barry Forshaw on 25th October 2004

The cover is emblazoned with the words ‘The precursor to Cabaret’, and this non-musical version of Isherwood's Berlin classic has been very hard to see for years – with Julie Harris a very different Sally Bowles from Liza Minelli, this is a must-see for connoiseuers of the little-seen.
