Film Description

An epic tale of the Spanish conquest of Peru, based on Peter Shaffer's play, in which Spanish Conquistadore Pizarro and his band of ruthless, gold-seeking soldiers of fortune, dream of finding El Dorado, the fabled city of gold. Only the god-king Atahualpa stands between them and paradise. Pizarro captures him, but finds himself torn between desire for conquest and honour after he begins to respect his captive.
