Film Description

Truly scary, Ring is also very well filmed. Set in present day Japan, a mysterious videotape is found that brings death to anyone who views it - with a one week delay. A curious journalist becomes ensnared and tries to get to the root of the terror. It is film that understands that the root of terror lies with the small things - points of light in the background, a predatory camera. The great sound adds a lot to the chilling experience.

Review by Emily on 6th May 2002

This is just a great movie, totally new and far different from what you have seen, totally unexpected final, for your information,i really really suggest to read the original books of Ring 1, 2, 3 this is not a simple scary, creepy story you could have imagine, but far far beyond that !!!
Super and Awesome !!!

The Top Seven Long Haired Spectres in Asian Cinema by Kirk Miller

The staple of any self-respecting Eastern horror film. Almost as ubiquitous as the cat jumping out of the cupboard in all those 70s slasher movies.
