Film DescriptionAugust 15th-18th 1969 were three days that went down in popular music history when nearly 500,000 people descended on Max Yasgur's farm near Woodstock in rural New York, for 3 days of peace and music. This programme, made by D.A. Pennebaker, is a look at the history of this great event and includes classic performances from the likes of Santana, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, The Who and Sly and the Family Stone as well as footage of a number of the bands that didn't make it into the official film.
