Film Description

A British comedy, Tiara Tahiti stars John Mills and James Mason. The pair first meet in the Army, where Captain Aimsley (Mason) is despatched from Colonel Southey (Mills)'s command on bad terms. In an unfortunate twist, they run into each other in Tahiti, Ainsley's place of exile, where Southey has come to build a holiday resort.

Mason plays the junior officer who is drummed out of the service by Mills' Lt. Col. Clifford Southey after he is caught trying to smuggle goods back to London. With no further life for him there, he heads for Tahiti and a good life in the sun - until Southey shows up on the island with big plans to build a holiday resort! Add in a love interest and a beautiful beach, and rivlary between the two can only mount.
