Film Description
The classic BBC Comedy series starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. From their introduction, "And in a packed programme tonight..." to the "Goodnight from him", viewers would savour the familiar features - the news items, party and doctor sketches, Ronnie Barker's word-play speeches and the rambling monologues from Ronnie Corbett.
This ninth series was broadcast between December 1981 and January 1982. The eight episodes find the Ronnies on top form with great sketches, including the Crossed Lines Telephone sketch, the Talking Dog and more classic Ronnie Barker Pismonunciation. The series also features the Charladies, the Village Idiots and Charley Farley and Piggy Malone in the serial, Band of Slaves. Musical numbers included Slim Pickman and Polly Parton, the Hendon Symphony Orchestra and The Mounties' Song while guest singers include Marti Webb, Elkie Brooks and Sheena Easton.
