Film DescriptionComedy drama starring Anthony Quinn as Italo Bombolini, a drunk ne'er-do-well living in the small Italian wine-producing town of Santa Vittoria in the final days of the Second World War. When a mix-up leads to him accidentally being pronounced mayor of the town, Bombolini hatches an ambitious plan to hide away one milion bottles of the town's famed wine before the Nazi army arrive to occupy the town.
