Film DescriptionDelving into the psychological profile of a guilt-ridden man, Richard Attenborough stars in The Man Upstairs as a scientist haunted by his past. Trying to escape his guilt after accidentally killing his fiancee's brother, Peter Watson (Attenborough) changes his name and takes a rooms in a dilapidated boarding house. There, his mental health rapidly deteriorates, and his fellow lodgers call the police after his erratic behaviour causes concern. They begin taking statements from the bewildered, frightened tenants - but then Watson begins to brandish a gun...
