Film Description

The last silent film to star Douglas Fairbanks, The Iron Mask was released a sequel to the 1921 swashbuckler 'The Three Musketeers', and is known as 'the last silent swashbuckler'.

When King Louis XIII's wife gives birth to a crown Prince of France, everybody rejoices over the arrival of an heir - but nobody suspects that there are actually two of them. Cardinal Richelieu (Nigel de Brulier) secretly sends the unwanted twin away to Spain, but Count de Rochefort (Ullrich Haupt) hatches a nefarious plot to exchange the twins and thereby make himself the most powerful man in France.
