Film DescriptionComedy directed by, co-written by and starring Ricky Gervais, which takes place in an alternate reality where the concept of lying does not exist. Everyone (politicians and advertisers included) speaks the truth with no thought of the consequences. Then, when Gervais's down-on-his-luck loser suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty pays and lies his way to fame and fortune. Soon however his tallest tales are being taken as gospel truth and things start to get out of control...
