Film Description

Richard Burton stars in this World War II drama depicting the 1943 Battle of Sutjeska. Josip Broz Tito (Burton), commander of the Yugoslav National Liberation Army (YNLA), leads the partisans in a fight against the forces occupying their country. Held captive by the Nazis in a remote mountain area in northern Montenegro, the Yugoslavs finally manage to break out, despite being hugely outnumbered.
