Film Description
Two rare films directed by Wolf Rilla (Village of the Damned) - Black Rider (1954) and his directing debut Glad Tidings (1953).
Black Rider: Jimmy Hanley plays a local reporter out to prove that a ghostly monk is in fact very real. With the boss's daughter (Rona Anderson) he travels around the countryside on his motorcycle in pursuit of the 'monk'. A fast-paced enjoyable caper picture.
Glad Tidings: Rilla's debut film, adapted from a play by R.F Delderfield sees Raymond Huntley play a Colonel who has the task of introducing his new American wife (Barbara Kelly) to his three daughters and younger son - who strongly disapprove.
