Film Description
Pairing of Tommy Trinder films: Sailors Three (Forde, 1940) and Save a Little Sunshine (Lee, 1938).
Sailors Three is one of Tommy Trinder's best loved comedies. Whilst on shoreleave, Trinder and two fellow sailors (Claude Hulbert and Michael Wilding) get very drunk and end up on the wrong ship. When they realise their mistake they scramble off it - only to end up on a German battleship! Comedy ensues as they try to pass themselves off as German sailors, get caught and then try to trick the entire crew into abandoning ship.
Save a Little Sunshine sees Patricia Kirkwood and Dave Willis play the owners of a boarding-house whose guests include Tommy Trinder and Max Wall as a perpetually quarrelling pair of down-on-their-luck music hall artistes.
