Film Description

Documentary focusing on the 1977 trial of film director Roman Polanski, who was arrested in Los Angeles on charges he gave drugs and had sex with a 13-year-old girl. Although he pleaded guitly to one charge, he fled to Europe before he was sentenced. This film examines that year-long period, using archival footage of the media frenzy and of Polanski's life before the charges, clips from his films, and contemporary interviews with many of the people involved, incl;uding Polanski's friends and associates, lawyers, and the young girl herself.
