Film Description

Presented by Richard Hammond, Journey to the Centre of the Planet explores the geology of our planet and the way it affects human lives in an ever changing way. It combines stunning CGI with dramatic shots of some of the most extreme natural environments on our planet.

As part of his journey, Hammond heads to Iceland to experience two continents that are separated by a mere three metres, and takes a deep sea plunge into the Monterey Canyon to view the bioluminescent sea creatures it nourishes.
