Film Description

The directorial debut of French New Wave filmmaker Agnes Varda, La Pointe Courte is a subtle, semi-documentary exploration of the complexities of a marital relationship set against the backdrop of daily life in a Mediterranean fishing village. Sylvia Monfort and Philippe Noiret star as a young married couple - he a local man, she a Parisenne - struggling to adapt to their changing lives after making the decision to move back to his birthplace.
