Film Description

Lauded as one of the best shows of its generation, L.A. Law is centred around a top Los Angeles law firm and follows the lives of its partners and employees both inside and outside the courtroom (and often inside the bedroom).

Starring Jimmy Smits and Harry Hamlin, L.A. Law was one of the first TV dramas to deal with emerging social issues of the time such as domestic violence, racism and HIV. This was all whilst combining both tense drama and quirky humour, inventing a format that went on to be copied in many major network series. Winner of 6 Emmy Awards, 5 Golden Globes and 7 People's Choice Awards.
