Film Description

Paul Robeson stars as a US soldier in the First World War who is forced to desert the army and finds a new life for himself in Africa.

Corporal Jericho Jackson is ordered to attend a court-martial after an unfortunate incident when he disobeyed a direct order to try and save a number of his comrades, only for his actions to lead to the death of a sergeant. Set to be executed, Jackson has no option but to flee across the sea to Morocco. There he discovers a culture that shows greater appreciation for him and the skills he has to offer, but will the might of the US Army threaten the happiness he finds there?
