Film Description

The complete Yorkshire Television series based on the novel by KM Peyton and set in England around the time of WWI. Orphaned Christina Parsons is sent to live at Flambards, the once grand country home of her domineering, disabled Uncle Russell and his two sons Mark and William. Although Christina hopes to find a loving new family, she soon discovers the inhabitants at Flambards are an unhappy group, torn apart by bitterness and jealousy. Of the brothers, one thrills to the hunt, the other is absorbed in the designing of aeroplanes. Christina slowly comes of age amid the conflicts, passions, loyalties and tragedies which attend her new life.
