Film Description

With his career now in tatters, formerly successful London hack Tom Ronstadt travels back to his Lancashire hometown to try to unravel the mysterious events surrounding his leaving 18 years ago. As he tries to glean information from his Alzheimer's affected father Sam (Jim Broadbent), Tom becomes increasingly frustrated at his father's inability to recall the events of the past. But it's not long before his dogged persistence begins to uncover secrets relating to a decades-old scandal that will have major implications throughout the town, and turn the lives of those involved upside down.
